Apparently I wasn't the only one getting an avalanche of nail polish this year. Square Hue got the message and debuted a two box option for those (like me) who couldn't keep up. The 3 polish box is $21 a month and the 2 polish box is $16 a month. All of their polishes are made in the U.S.A., 7-free, vegan and cruelty-free.
During 2015, Square Hue created three nail shades to commemorate each decade of the past century. I thought that most of their choices were spot on; a few were harder to fathom. For December, the collection celebrates the current decade with gorgeous intense colors. As always, the new shades arrived in a small white box.
Here's the line-up for December, a stunning red, a dark purple and a cool gold.
Square Hue includes a Color Swatch Keeper each month; a small card that can be used to swatch each color for faster reference.
Also handy are quick color swatches on a white piece of paper....who has time to paint their nails for a blog THREE separate times? Snarkiness aside, these really are spectacular shades.
First is this absolutely beautiful high gloss creme called Bird Fling 2010. I really don't know what the name refers to but there's no denying the beauty of this color.
Then there is Baby, Baby, Baby 2010, a dark purple micro shimmer. Again, the name meaning escapes me but I can't wait to try this one. (Whose job is it to sit around thinking up nail polish shade names?)
Last we have a spectacular gold foil called Olympiad 2018...no further explanation necessary! Just lovely.
That's the year end wrap-up of the Decades Collection! Nice job, Square Hue. I now have a stunning collection of the most innovative nail polish shades out there. It has been fun to watch each month's colors roll out and see how Square Hue interpreted the major events and themes of each decade.
In case you're wondering, Square Hue has announced their theme for 2016....the Adventure Collection! Looks like the first adventure destination for January, 2016 will be Banff and judging from the promotional artwork, a stunning aqua blue polish is likely to be included.
If you'd like to try Square Hue, click here and sign up for their NailMail to get a coupon code for a free box to be added to your first order. I believe the coupon code surprise14 will accomplish the same thing.
Although I'm taking a nail polish break for now, you can bet I'll be watching when Square Hue debuts their new collection in January!
Thanks for reading,
Cheryl
