PetBox is a new pet subscription service that provides monthly boxes containing toys, treats and accessories for dogs and cats.  They specialize in supplying healthy and fun items from more than 250 pet brands. Petbox has a variety of subscription plans to fit various budgets. When signing up, you tell them if you're purchasing the box for a dog or a cat and your pet's name, gender and size.

The plans currently available are shown below.  The monthly price is followed by the prices for the three month plan and annual plan.  All of these plans auto renew and you can cancel at any time.

Snack - A surprise treat with bonus samples and coupons - $9.95/8.95/7.95
Deluxe - A surprise collection of 2 to 3 items with bonus samples and coupons - $19.95/17.95/14.95
Premium - Customize your box with 4 to 6 items or receive a surprise collection - $39.95/34.95/29.95
Multiple Pet - Customize your box with 7 to 12 items or receive a surprise collection - $59.95/54.95/49.95

I actually received the Rover Mini PetBox which was a promotional offer for a box similar in content to the Deluxe box. This box is currently out of stock but if you'd like to be notified of the next limited edition PetBox, you can sign up at www.petbox.com/rover.

As always, my Senior Quality Control Officer (and Chief of Security) was eager to assist in the unboxing.

He jumped right in with his usual enthusiasm and professionalism.

This box contained a really nice assortment of products and coupons.

This is where I wish I'd taken a video.  Tucker immediately extracted "The Aussie Ear" by Aussie Naturals from the box and took off with it. You know that hilarious secretive behavior that some dogs adopt when they think they have a real prize? Tucker carried this around the house for at least half an hour looking for the perfect place to stash it but then finally gave up and chewed it until it was gone. The tag said this is 100% natural water buffalo.  These are high in protein and low in fat and promote healthy teeth and gums. Let's just don't think too hard about the water buffalo!

(Tucker making off with the Aussie ear.)

The box contained a blue coupon book full of great discounts on all sorts of dog products. Most of these contain codes that are good for 20 or 25 percent discounts on the various websites containing these items. There is also a coupon for one free night of pet sitting

Next are two "taste test" packages of dehydrated whole foods for adult dogs by "The Honest Kitchen".  One is cage-free turkey, vegetables and fruits with whole oats and the other is free-range chicken, vegetables and fruits.  I really like that these contain human-grade ingredients with no fillers or by-products.

There is a 4 oz. package of Grin for Dental Health Soft Chews for Dogs by In Clover. These are grain free and contain green tea.  I didn't know Tucker liked green tea but he gobbled one right down.  These promote fresh breath, teeth and tummy and the instructions say to give just one per day. At that rate, this package will last a LONG time!

Another breath freshening product is a package containing two Tropiclean dental treats plus a $2.00 coupon. Tucker loves anything that gives him a chewing challenge so I'm sure these will be a hit with him.

And finally, there is a 2 oz. bottle of Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care spray for topical application to clean wounds, cuts, lacerations, abrasions, sores and skin irritations.  I am really glad to have a chance to try this product as I've noticed a real lack of all purpose wound care treatments at Petsmart and Petco.  Tucker gets occasional minor injuries and I think this will be an easy and effective way to treat those.

So this was a very nice promotional box.  Tucker loved opening and exploring the contents and I loved that it made him so happy and introduced us to some new brands.

If you would like to try PetBox, they have offered my readers a 10% discount using the code LONESTAR.

You may want to also check Gilt City, Groupon and Living Social for their limited edition boxes. At the time of this post, I didn't see any current deals but I know that PetBox has run recent promotions on each of those sites. As always, like their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter to stay up to date on any new promotions.

Tucker has worked hard on this review and is now fast asleep in one of his FIVE beds. I'm sure he's dreaming about all his new PetBox treats!

We thank you for reading,

Cheryl and Tucker
