Bulu Box Review, February 2016 + Half Price Discount Deal!

Bulu Box sends four or five samples per month geared towards health, nutrition and/or weight loss. The samples you get are based on a user profile that collects information about your overall health, goals, top priority and attitude towards fitness, vitamins & supplements and product preferences.

There are two available boxes, the Original box and the Weight Loss box. Boxes are $10 per month.  You can sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month plan but the only discount is at the annual level which is $110 (or $9.17 per box). (See last paragraph for current discount deal.) Shipping is free and you can cancel at any time.

In January, I found an irresistible three month deal for $14.99 through Living Social.  At just five bucks a month, I figured there wasn't much to lose.  After signing up, it took a long time for the first box to reach me....about five weeks. I received an 8.5" x 6.25" bright orange branded box with a lot of affirmations printed on the outside.

Here are the products inside:

For a vitamin and supplement novice like me, the information card is a necessity.  It tells what each product does and what the full size costs.  Full sizes are available in their on-line shop and they have a points system where you can earn up to $10 in credit per month by completing sample surveys.

The first sample is this little box of Beauty Bursts Gourmet Collagen Soft Chews, a dietary supplement that improves the health of skin and care.  There was only ONE measly chew in this box.  It has a fruity flavor with a slightly bitter edge to it.

A little more generous is this two packet sample of Driv by Fanda, an effervescent powder that you mix with water and drink before, during and after exercise.  It is said to boost endurance and improve energy while reducing muscle cramps and soreness.  (I was wondering why this wasn't called "Drive", then noticed the mark over the "i" which gives it the long sound.  Kinda silly spelling, if you ask me!)

The little red packet contains Montana Mex Chile Salt to use in cooking. This one looks like it would be good in taco meat or as a steak rub or sprinkled over fries.  The other packet is Sleep Powder from Dream Water, a sleep formula that can be taken without water.  It contains GABA, melatonin and 5-HTP, all of which promote sleep.

The largest sample in the box is a little pot of Dry & Cracked Skin Balm by Earth's Care.  This is paraben free and contains naturally hydrating ingredients.  My elbows desperately need this!

This card has two packets of Vital 4U Fiber Drink which contains 3g of soluble prebiotic fiber to promote digestive health. You can drink this straight from the packet; the flavor is Citrus Berry Fusion.

The last item is an Instant Cold Wrap from Arctic Ease. This is a wrap that provides cooling relief from pain and swelling by absorbing and removing heat energy from the body. These wraps are reusable and do not require a freezer.

There are also three cards in the box. I don't see any discounts, just more information about the sleep powder, beauty bursts and skin balm.

By subscription box standards, this seems like a pretty skimpy box.  But it does contain a nice variety of quality vitamins and supplements that I would not otherwise know about.  And for the price I paid, I am certainly not complaining!

Click here for an even better price than I got....just $13.50 for 3 months, $27.00 for 6 months or $49.50 for 12 months. I don't know how long this particular deal will last but Bulu Box is frequently featured on the deal sites so if this offer has expired by the time you read this, check around for significant discounts.

Thanks for reading,

Cheryl
